Description: RARE WEDGWOOD 'PERSONAGES' PATTERN DEMITASSE CUP & SAUCER AM7274 c1927 Click images to enlarge Description A rare Wedgwood demitasse cup & saucer in the 'Personages' pattern. The pattern color is what I would call puce i.e a brownish purple, which i believe is an unusual colorway. I also believe that this pattern was made for the French market. The cup shows two men playing Boule and a couple dancing to music. The saucer shows a man punting a boat in which are a donkey and a sheep. A couple are depicted having a picnic. The cup is 2 1/4" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter; the saucer is 5" in diameter & has a scalloped rim. Both the cup & saucer are in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Impressed 'Wedgwood Made in England' on the base of the saucer also with date code for 1927. Both cup & saucer have printed details with painted pattern number AM7274.
