RARE Vintage TOPCON RE Super w/ 58mm f/1.4 & 135mm f/3.5 + Hood, UV, Case & Caps

Description: Here's a bit of a Connoisseur's camera--- a camera for the true collector. The TOPCON RE Super w/ 58mm f/1.4 and 135mm f/3.5, plus a Case, Hood & Caps & UV. Some people are emphatic that these and other models are the best cameras that were ever made, because the US Navy had them as their cameras of choice. It is a robust, sturdy beast with elegant and practical design. But I don't know... I was a Canon guy. It's in Excellent Cosmetic condition---- No Dents, No serious scratches, just very minor wear---- very clean overall. It works fairly well... it winds smoothly, the shutter fires well at all speeds, but the lenses have a couple of small issues. (more on that below) The body is good and solid---- very Nice Condition except for some dust in the prism and other minor wear from age. The lightmeter seems to work, but I don't understand what it's doing and I don't feel like learning all it's nuances. The 58mm lens has a little bit of light fog around the perimeter of the front (but only a hint up through the middle) and the focus is tight, but it works--- the internal lube is probably a little gummy. The 135mm also has a hint of fog, but the grips are in bad shape---- so they will have to be replaced to use. It's missing a little screw on the mount that acts as a post/pin to lock it in place--- so it won't lock-On the body (but with that screw, it will--- I swapped/tested the same pin from the 58mm and it works perfectly). So the camera body is in nice shape, the lenses are Not Perfect--- they will need a little TLC, but it's a very collectible camera. Comes with everything you see--- Camera, Lenses, camera Strap, Lens Hood & UV filter shown, plus a Case for the 135mm. Sold as a collectible---- Unknown if it's fully working. I've been a photographer for 40+ years and I know how cameras work and what to look for and can recognize when something is broken. But I can't "Bench Test" everything to factory specs, and understand every little bell and whistle. So I'm sorry, I can't sell this item on Approval--- it's being sold As Is, No Warranty, No Buyer's Remorse, No Try-outs, No Returns, sold As Is for collectible purposes, Not in perfectly functional condition--- possibly in need of rehab or to be used for Parts. I can't guarantee that every single aspect may be Perfect... especially when it's a 50+ year old item! (and I can't guarantee how long it will serve, once you start using it regularly.) Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge and I try to be detailed and truthful, but I can't describe every every millimeter of it. As expected with age, a used vintage camera could be found with a nick or blemishes here and there or a few additional specs of dust inside that I failed to mention, particularly inside the viewfinder... but they won't affect the photos and would hardly diminish it... unless you expect everything to be 100% Perfect. What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown.
