This volume was acquired still wrapped in original plastic, which was opened just now to reveal CP for the purpose of photographing. Dust jacket remains glossy and new, pages bright white, crisp, and clean. Spine is straight and unbroken. Dust jacket contains no chips, no stickers, no creases at all. Pages contain no inscriptions or former owner's name, no markings of any kind. Only deficiency is that the plastic wrap was torn slightly in one place, leaving the bottom right corner of the book exposed. As such, there's a very slight discoloration to the page edges in this spot, as well as to the inner crease of the book jacket there. See photos. Due to plastic wrap and firmness of spine, this is a clearly unhandled item, remaining in new condition despite it's 1985 publishing date and 38-year life. Already rare title in English, this is quite possibly the best condition copy that remains. A keystone piece for any Russian historian, Rasputin collector, or purveyor of the strange and macabre.
