Description: RARE Spitzbarth Zurich Sterling Silver gold gilded Contact Lens Box 1950s. Extremely well made piece of silver work. Case is absolutely perfect as far as fit and finish. We believe this is a one of a kind piece custom made back in the fifties. Exceeds Cartier or Tiffany quality. There is an inscription on the inside lid, when this is lifted it produces contact lenses and applicator. There are 3 lenses remaining with applicator that is made of rubber or some other synthetic material that has become slightly brittle. Backside of box is hallmarked Spitzbarth 925 with makers mark of the letter S. There are normal surface scratches consistent with age no major dents or dings, Retains the original gilded finish as well. Please use photos as part of the description
