Description: This is a rare ROLEX collectible - "The Story of Rolex", published in 1948. It tells the story of how Rolex watches came to be, in their own words. No collection of Rolex memorabilia is complete without two things -- The Rolex Vade Mecum and THIS booklet, "The Story of Rolex". This is an original publication, not a reprint or reproduction. This is one of around 50 Rolex & Tudor heavy publications coming up for auction from my personal collection. These resources were used to research a guide I wrote for Rolex, Tudor & Cellini in the last 1990s. The pricelists, catalogs and other wristwatch related ephemera are prized possessions for many collectors around the world. CONDITION: These books, brochures, booklets, catalogs and pricelists have been stored away for 20+ years. They are a bit musky, to be honest. Some have water stains or jagged edges from two decades of storage (see photos). But, that doesn't mean they're not still useful to a wristwatch enthusiast. AGE: Most items are at least 20 years old; while some are 50 years or more. NOTICE: PHOTOS ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION.
