Description: For sale is one copy of the ONLY printing for ComCon, which was produced in July 2016 for the Steven King, Beryl Evans event. This was my personal Sample copy at the time of production. I will also Include a copy of the 1st Printing of the S&S version as well. The Pictures with 2 books, have the Original 20 page version on top and the Mass Produced S&S version on the bottom.The original print run at the Melrose Park Illinois printer was for a very small production run. Only 150 of these books were given out at the event.After that original print run, the rights were acquired by the publisher Simon & Schuster (S&S) and produced with a few notable changes to the original format in much larger quantities. S&S in order to mass produce the book had to increase the page count to 24 pages, since 20 page books are not a standard page count for a cost effective production run. This is a VERY VERY VERY RARE LIMITED Original COMCON Giveaway BOOK, for any true Steve King Fan to own. So you can know how to tell the difference between the Original ComCon and the mass produced versions read below. These are most of the changes from the original ComCon version to the Common S&S mass produced version are as follows:Original ComCon version was 20 pages (excluding golden pasted endsheets) not 24 pages as S&S versionsPage numbers are at the bottom of most pages and the last page folio is 19 in the Steven King ComCon versionThere is no Copyright page at the endFront Cover has no Steven King Blurb in upper right cornerFront cover lower right reads "based on original artwork by Ned Dameron" his name is not larger then the rest of the type.Back Cover has NO TYPE AT ALLThe Spine of the book ONLY says "Charlie the Choo-Choo Beryl Evans"ComCon version has a High Gloss finish, S&S version is a dull matte finish Many Listings and Articles show the book with Type in the right front cover and as a 24 page book with Simon and Schuster on the front cover and a Barcode on the back, as well as 24 pages. If you look at any articles with Steven King from July of 2016, the book he holds does NOT have any type in the front right corner In the Pictures, both Steven King and the Beryl Evans actress, are shown holding the book given at the event, NOTICE that NO TYPE in the TOP RIGHT in the COMCON event. These are New and never fully opened so binding would not be damaged
