Description: Listed here is an absolute HESS GEM for any serious or avid Hess collector or enthusiast! A genuine PROTOTYPE that never reached production or sales due to the fact that the Hess company backed out of a massive production deal with NYLINT! Which is unfortunate because these toys are beautiful and solid, made with heavy steel and genuine weld points/rivets. Here is the Semi Truck / 18-Wheeler. Dimensions: 26" long; about 6" deep; and about 7" high. This piece comes out of a living estate collection of a Hess collector who purchased these between the mid 80s to late '80s, a few years before Desert Storm began, as he told me specifically. There are only two of these made and neither reached the public for mass production or sales. This comes directly from a friend of his who knew a sales rep at Nylint who parted with them many years ago to the current gentleman I am selling them for. They are truly one of a kind and you will never see this again as there is only 1 other known in existence! The box is in GREAT condition, as clearly evident in the pictures provided. That said, please take a very close look at all provided pictures for condition! I am not an expert on toys from this era, or Hess toys. My expertise is antique toys from 1880-1950. As noted, I am currently helping a family friend with his living estate of Hess trucks, Nylint, Matchbox, Winross, NASCAR diecast, etc. This collection is located in the Pocono area of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
