I do not use stock photos or photos of other people’s items.This is a rare/unique survivor of the golden age Babe Ruth era of baseball. It is a medal with a baseball player ready to swing his bat. The medal was made by the shortlived firm of Dodge & Ascher in Chicago. Ray Edgar Dodge and Vernon Ascher (members of the 1924 Olympic Track Team) started the Chicago firm in 1927 to manufacture high school and college jewelry. They soon branched out into medals and trophies. Dodge then sold his interest in 1930 and moved to a competing firm. The Dodge & Ascher baseball medal here has been engraved on the front "Englewood N.J." and "1929". The reverse is engraved "JR. CHAMPIONS". I could not pin down the specific junior league in question or its level of competition. If you have any additional information please message me. Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age.
