rare c.1925 Union Cutlery KA-BAR X-1157 FOLDING FISHING KNIFE

Description: This is an antique folding fishing knife with an unusual design, particularly as it dates from about 1925. I recently rescued this old guy from the bottom of a very old fishing tackle box where I'm sure it sat for many decades. The blade was very rusty and I cleaned it off best I could. Result is the original blade etch and tang stamps are no longer visible. However, if you know about these knives, it's easy to recognize. Measures just over 5.5" in closed position and 10.5" locked open. Blade is dark with shallow pitting all over. The Scaler Teeth on the spine are worn but the blade is still close to full size. The handles are thick brass and have a Fish Ruler to 5.5" on one side. The locking catch swivels to lock both sides together. Wire bail. These were only made from 1925 to 1930. Most were stainless steel but this one is carbon so I assume earlier. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.
