Description: This rare 1937 bound art plate collection was prepared for the Paris Exposition (Exposition Internationale de 1937) showcases in beautiful, large plates the Art Nouveau fine furniture as studied by Guillaume Janneau, with all 32 plates of exquisite illustrations. The hardcover binding is intact with a ribbon enclosure. The VERY heavy paper stock plates were intended to be loose in the portfolio and some still have the fragile glassine paper dividers. The publisher, Charles Moreau, was well-known for his high-quality publications (Editions d'Art Charles Moreau 8 R. de Prague, Paris XII). Very large and heavy, 13" X 17.5" and 1" thick. A beautiful item.Thank you for considering our listing! We are one of the “originals” on eBay, beginning in the late 1990s when eBay founder Pierre Omidyar answered the phone!
