Description: Beautiful copy of the original 1978 first pressing of the self-titled debut LP by Quicksilver Messenger Service, on Capitol ST-2904. Original issue on the rainbow label with silver foil cover. One of the great albums to come from the San Francisco ballroom/acid rock era, featuring some of the most brilliant rock guitar playing ever by the great, great John Cipollina. The disc is just gorgeous and plays absolutely flawlessly and truly beautifully. There are a couple of superficial sleeve scuffs, and some of those light superficial spots that come from years sitting in the acid in the paper sleeve, but they aren’t damage or wear at all. Really this is a near perfect disc. The cover has some light general wear but really barely at all. No seam splits and only the tiniest, faint bit of ringwear. A little nick at the top center, and some minor edge and cornerwear but really a beautiful cover overall. Rarely is it this clean. This is a truly beautiful original copy, hard to top.
