Description: Original Pre WWI and WWI Swiss M.1889 and M.1911 Schmidt Rubin rifle sling. The sling is dark brown leather and has a leather button and adjustment holes on each end. The sling is marked with a Swiss Sattler marking and the date 98 for 1898, the other writing on the Sattler mark is illegible. The sling is supple and has no tears in the leather. These slings are scarce and make a nice addition to a rifle.
