These were very loved from a true theater enthusiast from attended shows as far back as the 1950s. It is believed that each individual Playbill is from the actual play attended by the previous owner over a lifetime. Note and background from previous owner (from other viewings/presentations of this Playbill group:"Growing up in Chicago, the first show I had my mother take me to was the road company of Carmen Jones, followed in succession by Bloomer Girl and Call Me Master. I immediately began to save each program as sacred mementos of my fantastic love for theater. At 14, I went to work in my uncle's record store and learned all the lyrics of the shows I'd seen as well as Pal Joey which was new to me. When it was revived on Broadway, I coerced my mother to take me to New York to see as many shows as we could see in one week. Attending these shows became a regular routine for the rest of my life. I kept all of these reminders of the great the performances I went to in New York followed by trips to London, Paris, Canada, and Germany. Enjoy!"
