Description: KM-172 Silver Peso 1911-S in VF condition, sea salvaged. The story goes that many of these were dumped into Manila Bay to prevent seizure from the invading Japanese forces during WWII. Later they were retrieved and roughly cleaned, leaving behind traces of the cleaning and salt-water immersion. This is very, very slightly bent, almost unnoticeable, with dark areas, scratches and rim nicks. A very scarce coin with a mintage of only 463,000 and quite difficult to locate.
