Description: Petite & fine! Antique powder rouge box. Ashes of Roses by Bourjois, UK. 1923. The ‘Ashes of Roses’ line was launched in France 1909, USA 1913 & England 1923, w/release of its rouge. This little rouge box is in beautiful antique condition! Shape is round w/firm structure cardboard & complete paper covering. The original surface design is a white vase w/a single red rose on a shining satiny gold backdrop, w/green trim around the rim & the side. It has almost no wear for its age. In 1929 a new design was created, w/a basket or vase of 5 roses instead of one bloom. The box bottom includes the ‘Rosette Brune’ shade, & a sticker w/the England address. Also a small stained place. Inside are unused rouge pat, covered w/its parchment shield, & an unused little puff. (See photos for specifics). 1.75” diameter x .75”. **These items are a part of a huge collection, most of which has been stored for over 20 years. It includes all sizes of perfume bottles, sets, solids, factice/display bottles, powders, compacts, sachets, display banners, and authentic perfume labels (not digital).Many items are rare.
