Passenger Car Interior KIT for Rivarossi 85ft Heavy-Weight DINER [ HO ]

Description: Interior KIT for Rivarossi 85ft Heavyweight DINER [ HO ] Miscellaneous Railroad Company # 48Diner-RivHW This KIT consists of 2 pieces to be glued together to create the interior.(Lead sheet is not included in the kit) The two parts fit together well, but you must glue them together. “Super Glue” works well, but see warning below. Align the parts with a ruler to keep them straight while gluing. There are notches and holes in the floor to fit around the various protrusions in the Rivarossi 85ft Heavyweight DINER. The injection marks in the center of the car floor need to be removed and smoothed. The interior was designed to accommodate the window and door placements. There may be a little trimming, sanding or filing involved. The interior has 12 tables and seating for 48 ”people”. The sample pictures are of an unpainted interior. The product is manufactured from tan aliphatic polyester resin and can be painted. Recommend painting the appliances in the kitchen to represent Stainless Steel. The kitchen doors should be painted “Aluminum”. The seats are low, to allow for the installation of an LSW110 or LSW118 underneath for needed car weight.[ LSW118 has been recommended for weight in Rivarossi passenger cars, however, LSW100 clears the window latches without trimming. LSW100 does not clear the vertical stiffeners. Use a hand-held single-hole punch to create the necessary holes and notches. ] Please note: LSW products are not included in the interior kits. The passenger’s feet and legs have to be trimmed. You can see the passengers through the windows; not their butts. Standing people should have their feet removed because the floor is also high. The walls are low enough so that lighting may be added. An instruction sheet is included with every purchase. Because of the tables, the space for passengers is more limited. Passengers with things in their hands probably will not fit. Some other passengers may have to have back sides trimmed. NMRA RP20 weight for this car (10 1/4 inches) ≈ 6.6oz. The test car weight with 8 7/8inch of LSW118 yields 6.9oz with original Rivarossi trucks. Assembled Length of the Interior = 9 7/8 inches; Width: 1 1/8th inch; Height = 21mm Weight of the Interior = .9oz.
