Pencils are not in papermate packing, these are from a papermate distributor's old stock. collected from their bulk storage. We will be sending you a gift pencil box along with this pen. these 3 pencils will be supplied with 3 x packs of 10 leads made by camlin brand.Condition of the pencils : these pencils were New old stock with a closing stockist , left over stock from a large quantity they procured for distribution. all the pencils in stock is perfectly working fine and 99% brand new condition. The barrel is 99% scratchless and it still maintains the original shine on glossy parts of the pencil. The rubber grip is still in 99% perfect condition. Usually , old items with rubber fittings has a melting problem which is not seen in this pencil. we have tested the pencils the following methods :1. the click unit is perfectly working, its easily removable from barrel by screw/unscrew method. each pencil we send will be tested for the perfect operation of the click unit, multiple tests. we will make sure the entire unit is functioning and the lead is actually released thru the pencil tip. If we found the lead is not released, we consider this as a defective unit, and we will not send to you. 2. We have loaded three 0.5mm leads to the reserve container, and the container holds them perfectly. 3. the tip is releasing the perfectly according to the release click. lead is tightly held at the tip, not loose. 4. the rubber eraser (original shipped with pencil) still in perfect condition, no melting or crack. we tested them erasing on paper and it works perfectly. however it is our assumption that these erasers might need a replacement if you leave them unused for a year or more (usual problem of an engineered rubber material). you can still find such replacement eraser sticks from other leading pencil manufactures like steadtler or faber castels. you can also make your own DIY rubber erasers from the standard erase blocks available on bookstores. we have made few of them, and it works perfectly.
