Description: 1/24/22...........Price Drop!!!! Originally listed for $50.00 First edition, first printing copy UK edition of Otherness by David Brin. Available in the US only as a paperback. Over the course of a long career, the author has won three Hugo Awards, five Locus Awards, two Seiun Awards (for best work translated into Japanese) as well as a Nebula Award and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award. He was chosen by the literary estate of Isaac Asimov to write one volume of the three volume sequel to Asimov's Foundation Trilogy. (With the the other two authors chosen being Greg Bear and Gregory Benford, they have collectively taken on the nickname "Killer B's".) Brin was also given the Forry Award (named for science fiction historian Forrest Ackerman) for Lifetime Achievement by the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (LASFS). This was the first and only publication of Otherness in hardcover and preceded the US edition (published in paperback only) by three months. Otherness won the Locus Award for Best Collection. Both the book and the dust jacket are in Near Fine condition. There is some tanning to the page block and some shelf wear shine off the dust jacket but otherwise both are in flawless condition.
