Description: This listing is for one of our original WWII manufacture German 8mm Mauser ammo boxes. These are the 15 round boxes issued to soldiers going into combat, and are ORIGINAL items. No ammo included. Condition on all examples is excellent surplus, with bright colors on the label and boxes in nice, solid shape. Some labels do show minor age fading. No loose flaps or major defects. May have minor shelf wear, wear from holding ammo, a few wrinkles around the edges of the label, etc. Dates on all examined specimens was 1942, but other dates may exist, but we guarantee either immediate pre-War or wartime dates. Blue stripe indicating heavy ball, suitable for use in machine guns, but issued to riflemen as well. Cartridges originally packed in these would either be copper coated or lacquered steel. We do note that some of the boxes have the s.S. label applied over earlier labels, showing that these boxes were repacked by the Germans during WWII. Since these are empty boxes, they can be shipped worldwide!
