ITEM: Original WWI Snapshot Photo of GERMANS at CROSS MONUMENT BUILT IN 1914 in POLAND, taken in 1918. Probably a monument to dead from the early war. Has descriptive note written on the back in German. Photo is from a German of the 5th Battery, Field Artillery Regiment 219 on the Eastern Front during World War I. He at least passed through Warsaw, Poland and was at one point near Riga, Latvia. I think his last name might have been Bode since he wrote to a Fraulein Emily Bode in Frankfurt who might have been his sister. SORRY.
