Description: This is an original oil painting on canvas that measures about 24" by 17" not including the frame, and it is signed MORALES. The painting shows 3 native women wrapped in shawls and wearing hats. It is a common theme for Peruvian weavings though this painting is much more stylized. There is a Peruvian artist named Carlos Morales but he signs his paintings with initials though with the same block letters so it could be his. I purchased this from a woman who said her parents bought it without the frame in Ecuador. In researching the artist, I also found a painter in the same style named Adrian Morales. Either the painting made its way to Ecuador or the woman misremembered where her parents said they purchased it. The frame is a large, gold, rococo frame that measures about 30" by 24" and it has a fair value all by itself. There are 9 photos so click on the photo arrow to see them all. The painting is in its original condition except that it was purchased without the frame. The frame doesn't have glass which means it is more likely to be shipped without damage. If you don't want the frame, the cost of shipping will be drastically reduced because USPS charges extra for extra-large boxes and that would be avoided. Contact me before paying so that I can adjust the shipping and send a new invoice. With or without the frame, shipping is at cost with no extra fees.
