Description: This listing is for a pair of ORIGINAL (not reissue) Marantz Model 9 monoblocks. These monoblocks have been recently serviced at Metzger Vintage Audio in Plano, Texas. The following work was completed on them: • Rebuild power supplies in both • Replace rectifiers in both • Replace filters both • Replaced resistors in both (as needed) • Replaced capacitors in both including both electrolytic and poly with high quality Sprague and Mallory capacitors • Installed full new compliment of tubes (7 total, including 4 outputs.) Tubes now have exact match across both amplifiers. • Thorough internal cleaning including all boards, switches, knobs, RCA jacks on both • Re-flowed solder on many bad/cold solder joints throughout on both • General calibration and bias on both These monoblocks are serial numbers 9-1317 & 9-1362 and are were previously owned by only one person. They are near mint condition. It's hard to call anything 60+ years old "perfect" but these are as close as it gets. Included in the sale will be the original owners manual, service manual, and spare parts envelope. These are not re-prints! The monoblocks will be professionally packed by a local packing/box shop with a double walled box, foam boards, bubble wrap, cling film, peanuts, packing straps, etc. They are heavy, but are guaranteed to arrive in pristine condition.
