Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE In the 1920s and 1930s the Chinese made many paperweights, including copies of the Baccarat Pansy and the New England Poinsettia. But they also made small glass "Aquarium Ornaments" similar to miniature PAPERWEIGHTS. Just as we today put ornaments like divers and treasure chests in our home aquariums, so the Chinese in the 1920s-1930s put these miniature paperweights in their fish bowls. This old hexagonal aquarium ornament has two yellow birds perched on a Red tree resting on a Green base. The piece is a 1-11/16” in diameter and 1-3/8" high. The edges are all beveled. There is one tiny nick to the edge of the top facet. The piece is signed "CHINA" on the bottom. Condition is near perfect. Buyer pays shipping at Post Office cost as calculated by eBay.
