The -S suffix denotes the Sony sensor (versus the -T Toshiba sensor model). The -ES suffix indicates that it's outfitted at factory with the sensitivity-enhancing cylinder lens on the sensor. Differs from stock FLAME-S-VIS-NIR-ES only by being supplied with a 100-micrometer slit as seen on the label shown in photo. These interchangeable slits can be swapped out by the end user without recalibration and without opening the case (just the 2 Allen screws at the fiber-input connector flange) to get to a different place on the sensitivity-resolution tradeoff. (Stock is 25 micrometers, not included here). Yes, the full model name isn't on the label, but Ocean's tech support confirmed by serial number that these are the specs for this unit. Tests out well on OceanArt and OceanView on Windows 7 64-bit. Seems well calibrated for wavelength, at least at the one wavelength I checked it, the 632.8 nm line from a HeNe laser; the wavelength error is much smaller than the width of the peak.
