Description: Nymphaea micrantha is a water lily belonging to the genus Nymphaea. It is native to the tropics of West Africa. This lily is flexible on environmental demands but thrives particularly well with lots of light, proper CO2, and nutrients in soil and water, as it brings out the best of most tropical aquarium plants. It first will develop underwater leaves, which are very pretty. Eventually, the plant will shoot an arrow-like leaf from the roots, advancing and settling on the surface. If you keep clipping these leaves, you can virtually keep the plant in this stage forever. However, if you let the lily do its thing, it will lose all the other underwater leaves and only produce floating leaves and beautiful and fragrant flowers that don’t require too much space above the water. Look at my photographs; I keep two plants close together; one is for the underwater beauty, and the other for the beauty on the water’s surface. This beautiful tropical lily comes as a potted plant and will be similar in size to the sample picture. I ship plants strategically to ensure a quick journey. Depending on the weather, I will include a cooling or heating pad.
