These mirror sheets can be easily cut, formed and fabricated like other acrylics. When laser cutting, we recommend reversing your artwork and cutting with the backing side up (mirrored side face down) for best results. Acrylic mirrors have a metal finish to one side of an extruded acrylic sheet which is then covered with a painted backing to protect the mirror surface. Note that acrylic mirrors can produce a distorted reflection, especially with larger pieces, as the material is more flexible. It is recommended that a larger acrylic mirror is affixed to a solid material such as MDF or plywood before installation on the wall or surface required. This helps ensure the mirror is sitting flat and even, to minimize a distorted mirror reflection. UNIQUE GLASS MIRROR ALTERNATIVE: Acrylic mirror sheets can be used as an alternative to traditional glass mirrors for many applications.
