Description: OOE O. Oehlenschläger needlepoint canvas 100-2000 has a detail from A Mon Seul Desir (My Soul Desire) tapestry, which dates from about the year 1500, and is on display at the Cluny Museum in Paris. Apparently the original is from the 6th and final tapestry from the A Lady and her Unicorn series, but there is no unicorn or lady in this detail. This looks to be the bottom right corner of the inspiration tapestry. It has a millefleur floral pattern on a green background and rabbits. Canvas only. No threads. Includes list of threads needed to complete the design. Penelope canvas measures approximately 17 1/4” x 23”. Design portion measures 14 3/8” x 19 1/4”. Shop tag still attached. Made in Denmark. Purchased in London at The Needlewoman Shop, which was open from 1928-1985. Edges have been taped. No stitching. Writing on the list of wool colors.
