Description: This is a heavily modified Sophos SG 230 Rev 1. Priced at what it would cost to build today. I was running this in an HA pair and decided to downsize to one. Upgraded to a to a Xeon processor (xeon e3 1275 v3) - $308gb of memory (6gb usable with the XG home edition installed) $30 OS on SSD $20Network module bay populated with the difficult to find 4x10 GBE 10 gigabit module $250+Sophos SG 230 Rev1 $100+ I did drill in some rack ears onto it - the proprietary rack mounts for these are impossible to find. It's so heavy it tends to angle down a bit, I rest them on a switch generally. Upgraded to latest build of XG and reset. Due to being on XG, the front display just runs that Sophos logo. This is an unusual listing, IT IS NOT A NORMAL SG 230. I built this for my own use with 10GB networking. Please ask any questions you may have ahead of ordering.
