These combo units turn 1 way to be a pen and the other to roll out the mechanical pencil. Put out in 1992 the ink in these has dried out, so I opened 1 of them and put the new ink cartridge in and it writes perfect. I have left the other 2 combination pieces sealed in their original packages and when opened they will most likely need a new cartridge as well. When these sell, I will ship in the U.S for 5.00 Thank you
