Description: This lot includes the following vintage X-Acto/ The House of Miniatures furniture kits, which are complete: ~ Chippendale Chest on Chest #40009 ~ William and Mary Tall Case Clock #40018**Note: this kit is also complete....the instructions say to break the chain into two pieces, so that one is longer than the other, and that has been done already, resulting in two different-length chain segments, instead of one long chain ~These are vintage dollhouse miniature 1:12 (1" scale) kits~Boxes have been opened and inspected to ensure all parts are included. *NOTE: Boxes themselves have wear and marking on them as pictured, but items that originally came with the kits are present~Included**: Instructions/layout sheet, wood parts, hardware~What you will need to supply in order to assemble and finish*** kits such as these: - Waxed paper, sandpaper, steel wool, white glue (or any good wood glue), masking tape, small paintbrush, wood stain/glaze stain*** or paint, lacquer/sealer **Note 1: The kits are for making base furniture piece only w/ hardware. Other items pictured on box covers, such as flooring, other furniture, wallpaper, and accessories are not included in these kits.***Note 2: If you will be applying wood stain for finishing, experts recommend lightly sanding/staining each individual wood piece, allowing stain to dry, then assembling the furniture. The reason is that wood stain doesn't adhere well to areas with glue or glue residue on them, which would result in patchy, unfinished-looking connection areas. Wood stain not included.
