Description: For your consideration, Dr4 Watches has on offer a fairly rare Longines automatic Heritage Military "Pilot" black dial fine timepiece This watch reference is kind of rare to begin with and I was delighted to find one is such outstandin condition as well. This one would set you back more than $3K out the door at a fine Longines boutique in Switzerland. Of course there you may receive a nice espresso, piece of chocolate and a cute cardboard bag to take you on your way. I just save you a bunch of money.Of course we are bringing the best value on the internet because we tirelessly source our inventory and inspect very closely upon receipt for quality and authenticity. We are extremely thorough in our listings and we still absolutely encourage questions regarding the timepieces. If you have questions regarding the specifications, provenance, history, etc., no problem. Just ask if you have a question! We only deal in 100% real watches because reputation is critical for us and in this industry in particular. We always have the inventory in our possession. We do not do the broker thing. The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in Oustanding condition. I would rate this overall package at 98%+. Because we only want timepiece customers who are delighted with their purchase, we strive to add some additional insight to help you make a great timepiece decision. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include: 1. This watch is large at 44-45mm and works well on male wrists of 7 inches and larger. It brings a classic military look that to me is evocative of WW1/WW2 pilot watches. I have an average size wrist and this watch works well on me but if quite full on my 7+1/4 inch wrist.2. This is a fantastic "one watch" as it goes with everything and can handle a variety of duties. It can pull off business or casual attire and I think is ideally suited for somebody who appreciates aviation. 3. The watch is comfortable on the very impressive, classic black with ecru stitching leather strap. 4. Highlights on this one includes the fantastic matte dial and well lumed hands, raised full arabic numerals, small second complication and a framed date window. All of the dial elements combine with the classic, smooth bezel to bring a harmonious design language. A very fit-for-purpose, easy-to-read at a glance fine timepiece. This simplicity and "addition by subtraction" is of course in keeping with the design ethos of pilot watches from the 1930s - 1950s. Clarity and accuracy was key and this timepiece is a modern interpretation of those heritage timepieces... albeit with a date window and modern watchmaking movements and timing chronometry. 5. Flipping this one over one has a treat of a mirror polish back case with some key details about the watch. I love a great --- and great condtion --- mirrored watch back. Particularly appropriate for a heritage inspired pilot watch like this one. 6. Another favorite feature for me is the stunning, oversized crown --- again, this is a specific design choice that harkens back to when aviators of the aforementioned time-frame had to adjust their watches with gloved hands. Wonderful and beautiful. 7. Additional collateral includes the nice Longines box that you see in the second picture. We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation. We should always be the first port-of-call if there is an issue. 100% delighted customers so far and we aim to keep it that way. Please examine the pictures, what you see is what you get. The only exceptions are the black case that we photoraph on and the English Bull Dog which we put in our group shots because we think it looks great. The Bull Dog is a James Bond tie-in and we kind of really like James Bond. And finally, we are an Atlanta based business but we also operate out of North Florida (some inventory in both places) as I like to include my brother in the business some. Thank you for your consideration, Steve
