Description: Hello ! Up for sale is a terrific and versatile modeling amp from Line 6....the HD147 ! This is another one of the beauties that came out before the Black Spider series of amps from Line 6. It very much resembles the Flextones, Duotones and even the original RED spider amp that really provided some terrific, dare I say "tube like" sounds from Line 6, that they sadly kind of lost when they came out with the Black Spider digital amps. (Although I played the V at Guitar center because one of the employees plugged me into one, and it seems like they're starting to sound better! And you've also got the Helix and other new Line 6 products that seem to hint toward some sort of comeback by Line 6 in the realm of tone!) Anyway, this is truly for the pro or semi pro….a whole gig’s worth of sounds in one box! You have so many amp models to choose from….tons of nice clean sounds, many very usable and musical overdrives and distortions, and of course, some raging high gain sounds for the most brutal of metal solos or the smoothest of fusion solos! You’ve also got many very useful and musical effects….all types of delays, choruses, other modulations, etc. etc. etc.All functions and all of the 4 available channels on this amp are foot switchable! And very natural, tube like tone from this "silver samurai", much like the Flextone combos as well as the older classic Spider I combo !I know a lot is said about all tube amps, and I myself am a believer. However, if you close your eyes and actually just PLAY this amplifier, you won’t even notice much difference or even miss it! And 95% of the people watching you at the gig will sure as heck not notice any difference…..just play well ! The overdrives and distortions on this unit are very smooth, and very believable emulations! I plug my G & L ASAT Tribute Telecaster into this baby. I then use the Marshall Plexi emulation and add a little reverb for rhythm sounds, delay for leads/solos….and I am in heaven! That's my take. But I wanted to include what I feel is the best snippet of another seller's assessment of the HD147. I feel that it's right on the money and gives a different, but equally flattering perspective on this sleeper of an amp head: (and he ended up selling it for $1250 !)"The super Line 6 HD147 Guitar Amp Head starts with models of 10 essential modern high-gain amps and 8 vintage power favorites. Then the Line 6 designers took the best attributes of every great high-gain amp to create 14 Line 6 custom amps that are truly outrageous. With 300W of power, it delivers everything from the obscene to the sparkly clean with headroom to spare. All encased in a beautiful chrome chassis. This head is amazing! Lots of power, tons of built in features, and effects, sounds Killer with a Marshall 4x12 Cabinet... that being said, if you're going to run two 4x12 cabs in stereo....then this is your baby. The clean tones on this amp will go for days with the right combo of on-board and outboard reverb/delay effects. The HD 147 is just a great looking amp. Before even plugging it in, you may be knocked out by the gleaming chrome housing and the purple glow that emanated from it. Like so many Line 6 products, the HD 147 does a ton of stuff--way more than can be covered here, but here are the main points.Spin the Models knob to audition the 32 amp simulations. The usual suspects--brands F, M, V, and M/B--were all there, along with Diezel, Bogner, Cornford and several Line 6 originals. Check out the clean and semi-gritty sounds came from the Vox and Fender models, especially when they are up loud, which really brought out their complexity; add some killer onboard digital effects--the chorus and the rotary being particularly juicy.Being that this is a metal amp roundup, call up the Treadplate model, which is based on a Boogie Dual Rectifier. This is a great tribute to that great amp, and packs ungodly amounts of distortion, plus huge lows and biting highs. To my ears, this was one of the HD's best models for disemboweling chugs. Other great heavy models include Line 6's own Insane, which has so much gain it's crazy! The Marshall tones, such as the JCM800 and Silver Jubilee, sound great but, just like the real deals, don't have absurd amounts of gain. They really excel at medium grind and have a ton of touch-sensitive detail." Nuff said. Buy it now!!!!!! But first, please read the condition description, these listing details, and examine the pictures carefully. Thanks so much for your interest and I hope you do buy it now!!!!!
