Description: Dinner Knife Lauffer by Towle Design 2 Korea Made in Korea. This model is slightly longer than the Lauffer Design 2 knives made in Germany and Norway. They are about 9" long. This pattern, Lauffer Design 2, was designed in 1956 by Don Wallance and are Mid-Century Modern. They have a timeless beauty which is why they are a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MOMA). My husband and I chose Lauffer Design 2 as the pattern for our everyday flatware when we were first married in 1965. We are now married 56 years and continue to enjoy using the flatware. As our family has grown over the years, we have added to our collection out of necessity. However, we found these Korean knives noticeably longer than our others so have decided not to keep them. I believe that the knives are new, but because they were packed together without padding, they became lightly scratched by rubbing together. They are still beautiful. I have 16 knives available.
