The silhouette image of the King, with a crown, is in beautiful gilding enclosed by a cartouche. Around the cartouche is the commemoration, "TO CELEBRATE THE CORONATION OF H.M. KING CHARLES III". This design is repeated on the other side of the mug. In the middle of the mug, in gilding, are the symbols of the coronation and "C R". The elaborate decoration around the rim and on the handle are exquisite. Inside the mug, on both sides, is the orb atop a banner that shows "H.M. KING CHARLES III". The under-side shows the Dunoon name and manufacturing information. The decoration on the mug is repeated, along with the commemoration, "TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION OF HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES III MAY 6TH 2023".
