A neat copy because of the provenance: Ida Mary Lewis (1924-2011) graduated from Perry High School in 1942, and from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) in 1947 with a Bachelor's degree in History and English. She then enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh, receiving her Master's degree in History in 1950. She returned to Carnegie in 1961 and received a Master's degree in Library Science. She became a librarian at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Oakland Branch, one of the first Black librarians in the county. She was also involved in civil rights activism in the 1960s-70s.
