Description: This necklace is comprised of uniformly shaped oblong and spherical beads of blue jasper flecked and swirled with pink & gray. (Jasper is an opaque form of chalcedony sometimes considered a semi precious stone.) The necklace is 19.5" in length with barrel clasp and 2 small brass extender beads at each end. Small round brass spacer beads separate each of the jasper beads. The jasper beads are in two different uniform shapes - cylinder and round spheres - and are polished to a medium gloss. The necklace is in good condition with no cracks or chips in the beads and no missing beads or spacers. The barrel clasp functions easily and well but shows s some wear to the finish. Necklace was purchased in a gem & rock shop in Charleston South Carolina in 1990, so was likely made in late 80s.
