Description: This is a knitting yarn imported directly from Japan and created by the textile company Hasegawa. The yarn was created by dyeing the highest quality silk noil fiber and then adding dyed or in some cases undyed neps. Neps are small pieces of silk noil that have been added during the spinning process to give the yarn a wonderful dimensional tweed effect. While being a single ply yarn it is classified as a light fingering weight. Easily used for either hand knitting or weaving as a weft yarn. The flexibility of using this yarn either double or triple stranded makes it a great yarn to create different and unique visual textures. Add this yarn with another fine yarn or add your own dyed fiber to make a spectacular individual creation. This should be considered when you are creating your next garment or accessory.
