Description: Rockport Massachusetts " Peaceful Rockport Street " ( harbor & sailboats). Jacob Greenleaf. This is one of Greenleaf’s older paintings (estimate 1935 to 1945 CA) depicting a during the summer season someplace in Vermont (one of Greenleaf's favorite locations). A very well executed piece when the artist was in the prime of his career. Some really nice detail in this entire piece. Painting was done on stretched canvas and measures 22” x 28” and comes housed in a outstanding medium gold metal leaf carved frame that just compliments this piece perfectly. The frame measures 29 1/2” x 35 1/2” and has 4" wide moldings. The painting is signed in the lower right hand corner “ J. Greenleaf “.
