Description: Hi & thanks for looking. I will do my best to explain this frame. I recently acquired it at auction in a country town outside of Buffalo, NY. The home had many collections. This frame is painted gold not gold guilt. One layer is silver. It has round nails as seen in the US in the late 1890’s. I don’t see nails in the first outer frame. Its carved wood throughout with unique dot patterns, unique forms and scrolls. When I acquired it, there was a damaged print from 1899 M.L. & Co. 1899. It was water damaged and stuck to the glass. The squared board - screws into frame to secure the glass and art work. I will include all pieces into sale unless otherwise specified by the buyer.
