Description: Hard to find, vintage Zenith Model 5G534, also marked as a model 5A10 tabletop radio that is in good working condition. Radio is able to receive stations on the AM band with good volume, and minimal background noise. However, in order to turn the unit on, the on/off must be turned on, then turned back to a point where it is ready to click off. Then turn the knob again to the right and the radio will power on. I suspect the on/off mechanism is failing or there may be a bad connection. It also appears upon inspection that the unit may have been partially recapped at some point. All of the knobs function properly and the dial indicator works properly as well. The power cord appears to be a new replacement is inexcellent condition, still plyable. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax and the front presents quite well. I believe the cabinet is made by Ingraham, but it is not marked. I am not sure if the antenna that is attached is original to the radio or was added at some point. Highly desireable Zenith radio to add to your collection. In order to ensure safe delivery, the radio will be double boxed. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
