Description: Very hard to find, stunning, Antique Arc Logo Lodge No. 4 cast iron skillet with no notch heat ring. Made by the Lodge Manufacturing Company in South Pittsburg, Tennessee from 1910-1920's. CONDITION: Skillet is in good antique condition. It has a subtle tic/wobble at the 12 o'clock position corrected by less than 1 index card. Cooking surface is in good condition with light wear from use. There is sand shift casting flaw that extends from the handle to the heat ring, as well as a casting flaw on the underside of the handle. This is a sand shift casting flaw and NOT a crack, there is not parallel line on the interior surface (see pics). Skillet does not spin, and has no cracks, chips, rust, or repairs. Please see photos as part of description. Lines on logo and numbering are clean and clear. ~Disclaimer: All vintage and antique cast iron typically shows some signs of wear including light utensil marks, discoloration, and minor pitting. I always do my best accurately picture and describe each piece so you can buy with confidence. RESTORATION: This vintage piece of cast iron has been carefully cleaned to bare iron and fully restored using a combination of electrolysis, lye, and vinegar. It has been seasoned with 3 layers of grape seed oil at 450 degrees for a deep, beautiful, patina finish.
