Description: A beautiful large piece of African Baule cloth from the Ivory Coast, handmade woven, and dyed. Nice cotton fabric. From about the 1970s. Composed of handwoven strips sewn together. Can be used in either direction for wall hanging or projects. Some of these Stunning mid-century hand-loomed ikat Baule cloth come with embroidery. The textile would make an excellent shawl or throw. The textile has been woven in 4" wide strips and is approximately 10, or 11 strips put together. Traditionally worn as a wrapper, these textiles are all unique in shade, size, and wear. The dimension is 56" high and 41 inches wide. Note: Pictures are exact representations of the item. Vintage fabrics may have slight tears/imperfections and loosened stitching at seams but are overall in excellent condition.
