This compact belonged to a collector of vintage compacts who purchased it in the 1940-50s. The backside is a white enamel, the front shows the theater on a copper background. It opens and closes easily with the hinge and latch working properly. The puff is unused and the bottom has a cheesecloth-type insert. The mirror shows some slight aging, but it is clear. measures almost 3” in diameter. Good quality vintage compacts can be seen as a good long-term investment because they haven’t been reproduced due to their outstanding workmanship and the labor involved.
