If you are unsure if this deck works with your operating system or version of Audacityor another digital converter software please do not buy this unit I am not a computer expert & cannot answer tech questions I can only say it worked with the audacity software noted in the photo on an older laptopas shown above This is a simple unit to use if you have analog audio cassette tapes especially of family & you want the audio preserved digitallyI've included a FREE lot of 8 used BASF blank tapes that have been recorded over I do not know if the tapes have been erased/re-recorded or if the labels match the audioon the tapes They are FREE
