The 1954 Les Paul Custom is usually ebony in color, but this one is full cherry, painted with aniline dye powder. The top coat is antiqued, and the binding has a burnt look. The hardware is gold, the pegs are of course 501VX (commonly known as waffle back), and the pickups are Alnico V and P-90. The mid-tone sound is typical of the 54 Les Paul Custom, made with solid mahogany. This special edition 1954 Les Paul Custom has a VOS finish, so you can enjoy the fading that occurs over time.
