Dusty TrackThe British band FREEDOM founded in 1967, when after the huge success of Procol Harum's international success "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" two musicians, namely drummer Bobby Harrison and guitarist Ray Royer, left the band and founded this new band. They wanted to play harder progressive blues rock, as it was en voque then. After the soundtrack album "Black & White" to the eponymous film by Tinto Brass as well as two highly sought-after singles released only in Germany, 1970 appeared the first regular album of the band "Freedom at Last". The album was created in Studio Orange in London with Bobby Harrison (drums), guitarist Roger Saunders and bassist Walter Monagham. Here at last is the first release on vinyl in 45 years! After two more albums appearing on the legendary Vertigo label in 1972 after which the conclusion of this great band followed. This album, now appears on 180 gram heavy vinyl in a spectacular gatefold sleeve, and offers 12 psychedelic tinged and heavy blues-rock songs contemporaneously typical for that time period and the performing style which became a real British quality concept and was adapted and succeeded by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Spooky Tooth, Cream, (to name a few) and gained worldwide reputation, a reputation which continues to this very day.
