Folmer Graflex Large Format Camera Reducing Back for 8x8 to 3x4 w/ Ground Glass

Description: Here's an old part for a Big View Camera--- a Film/Plate Holder Spring Back with Ground Glass, that is for a 5x7 or perhaps 8x10 Large Format view camera, reducing the size to take 3 1/4 X 4 inch images. It is a two-part construction--- two portions held together by screws and clamps (see end photos). It was made by Folmer Graflex in Rochester, NY. It think it's from the early part of the 1900's. It has a lot of wear and tear--- nicks, scratches etc--- but the glass is a complete and the wood has a nice color. It looks pretty much complete, I don't see anything detrimental that would keep it from working. The outside size is about 8 3/8 x 8 3/8 inches--- with a1/4 inch recess from there. I put rulers in the photos so you can see the sizes and depths of the various layers.
