Description: Chinese Famille Rose Cherry Picker Bowl, Qianlong period, decorated with cherry pickers scene. The outside of the teabowl is decorated with a scene of a man standing on a ladder throwing down fruit from a tree to a woman who is holding out her skirt to catch it. A dog is seated and looked at the woman. Another woman is running towards the tree. There is a gilt chain decoration around the inside of the rim. This well-known design is thought to be taken from a print by Nicolas Ponce after a painting ('La Cueilette des cerises') by Pierre-Antoine Baudouin. Condition: Excellent condition, some original firing flaws, no hairline, chip or restoration. Please exam all the photos carefully before purchasing as they form part of the description.
