Message me for individual pictures of the last 6 of the series. Original Japanese Woodblock Print TOKURIKI, TOMIKICHIRO (1902 to 2000). He was a 12th generation artists and born in Kyoto, Japan. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Kyoto City and the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting in 1924. About the artist: Tomikichiro Tokuriki is one of the members of the Sosaku Hanga movement. He began his career as a painter later becoming engrossed in the art of woodblock prints. He is one of the Most Highly Respected Woodblock Artists of the Twentieth Century. Around 1945 Tokuriki set up his Own Publishing Company, called Matsukyu Publishing. While there he Carved, Printed and Distributed his Own and Other Sosaka and Shin Hanga Woodblocks. THIS IS A COMPLETE SET OF “The Fifteen Views of Kyoto” HOUSED IN ORIGINAL DECORATED PRESENTATION FOLDER, WOODBLOCKS PRINTED BY UCHIDA PUBLISHING COMPANY 1930 TO 1945. THE PRE 1945 DATE CAN BE ESTABLISHED BY THE ADDRESS AND NAME OF THE UCHIDA COMPANY WHICH CHANGED PART OF ITS NAME TO THE KYOTO HANDICRAFT CENTRE AFTER THE END OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR. MADE UP OF FIFTEEN INDIVIDUAL WOODBLOCK SCENES EACH IN THERE OWN ORIGINAL DISPLAY FOLDER. ALL IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THEIR AGE. SOME ARE AGED SLIGHTLY. SEE PHOTOS – THEY ARE THE ACTUAL PRINTS.
