This item has been customized quite a bit since purchase, so please see below. ◯ Changed the pickguard to anodized ◯ Upgraded the internal wiring and capacitors ◯ Disabled the preset switch by cutting the wiring ◯ Changed the bridge to Retro Tone Pickups, which are less likely to fall off the strings ◯ Changed the pickups to Seymour Duncan SJM-2n and Retro Tone Pickups ◯ Changed the tone knob When I bought it, the sound was quite thick and had a lot of noise, but now it's a sound that's somewhere between a Strat and a Jazzmaster, and is clear but also has a thick mid-range. You can switch the tone with 3 switches. The front has a thick low-mid sound, the center has a clear and clean sound, and the rear has a low-cut high-leaning sound, so it's easy to use them differently.
